As you can see with the spine, there are five major areas with names that you may have heard about before. From head to tail, they are the cervicals, thoracics, lumbars, sacral, and coccygeal. What I find interesting is really several things but one is the fact that God mentions a five fold ministry in the body of Christ but also places at least one common set of five on both hands in a very noticeable place for an example for the sake of simple teaching. Mentioned first in the hand in the first digit, also known as the thumb which is mentioned in scripture first as apostles. That corresponds to the cervical vertebra counting from head to toe, also known as the cranial to caudal direction in the y axis. As you continue downward and through the fingers as you count, you will encounter the 2nd digit/thoracics, 3rd/lumbar, 4th/sacral, and 5th/coccygeal. There is more to say about all these things but this is progressive, so I'll let the reader think about these things until next time.
